Users of Waze swear by the community based traffic and navigation app, but Apple seems to think that drones might be more reliable at finding traffic and navigation issues (like construction or accidents) than your fellow human brings.
The Cupertino-based tech firm is looking into using drones to improving its Apple Maps app. A report from Bloomberg states that Apple has already handed in its application to the FAA and wants to use drones from DJI and Aibotix.
This move makes sense by Apple as it is challenging Google maps. But a possibly bigger questions arises. Will Apple expand their interest in drones any further?
