Massachusetts State Police Drone Up

The Massachusetts State Police unveiled they newly purchased DJI Inspire Pro on Monday with plans to eventually have a drone fleet. The department will to put the drone to use to survey, photograph and measure car crashes to help authorities investigate accidents and reopen roads faster. The department is also looking into plans to use the drone for search and rescue operations.

However, the department said it will not use the drone until it finalizes its own drone policy. It is important to note that the department does not have plans to use the drone for surveillance activities.
