Drones have been getting a lot of play in the sports word in recent months. The world of football has been quick to adapt the technology as it provides new ways to video and observe practices and even to entertain at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. But the NBA has not really gotten on board…till now.
At the 2017 NBA Dunk Contest, Aaron Gordon used a Intel drone to assist in one of his dunks. Unfortunately, Gordon was coming off a foot injury and was not able to convert the dunk till his fourth attempt. Still the ides of using a drone in the dunk contest was new and brings more attention to the technology.
